Lahore Awargi - Mustansar Hussain Tarar
It is the most pleasurable book I have read so far. It takes me back to my childhood memories. I take pleasure in experiencing and observing old Lahore with most respected Author - Mustansar Hussain Tarar. The mention of morning walk in Model Park is close to my heart and mind. Though I'm one of the most infrequent visitors there. I'm a resident of Lahore, it need to know so much about its history, so Mr Tarar would be my teacher. He would illumine what is dark in me. I'm so happy to have bought this book. Highly recommended.

Tarar has covered every corner of Lahore with its history & Architectural Heritage in such a nostalgic n beautiful way.
Its surely a masterpiece on the history of Lahore.
I urge all urdu readers to must read this book.

We all know Mustansar Hussain tartar sb from our childhood days when PTV used to have a morning transmission. I read Pyar ka pehla Punjab and asked a friend of mine who was visiting from London to follow hte book on our visit. While we were getting out from lahore we thought to buy lahore awargi. Having been to lahore so many times the book gave a different dimension to my views about the city . Beside the knowledge about history which is imparted in such a casual way that you get to understand the history along with the old historic places. I mean its only Mustansar Hussain Tarar who could create relevance to all the sites and take is back in history. I want to stay in lahore for next vacations and follow this book to all the historic places. If i get a chance to meet the author that will be a honour.
wesy to me lahore khud dekh chuki hun..lekin jo maza tarar sahab ki zubani lahore ko dekhny me hai uska koi saani nahi.. alfaz hi apni ahmiatkho baithty hain jab tarar sahab ki ksi tehreer ki tareef ki jayay.. long live tarar sahab with good health.

Chacha ji and his travelogs are no stranger to me. Once you get one in your hand, it's like you are sitting on a magic carpet, visiting all those places with him wearing a sulemani cap probably that you can't see yourself in the story.. But you know you are there.. You just KNOW...
