About the Author
Dr. Amanullah Khan is a Physician and a photographer, has had exhibits
and won awards. He began writing poetry in his mother tongue (Punjabi) in
2001 and his Punjabi poetry book, “Mukar Gaiyaan nain Shawan” was
published in 2003. A second Punjabi poetry book “Khilar Gaiyaan Nain
Rahwaan” is in print.
In 2010 Dr. Khan produced a Punjabi movie “Virsa” which included some of
the lyrics written by him. He has also written poems in Urdu.
His first English poetry book 'Sifting Shades' was published by Dog Ear
Publishing, USA, in 2013. His second English poetry book “Fusion of
Words and Colors,” with illustrative artwork by renowned Pakistani artist,
Agha Nisar Ali Khan, was published in 2019 by Scheherazade Press,
Stephenville, Texas.
Dr. Amanullah Khan is the immediate Past President of Poetry Society of
Texas.
He practices in the field of hematology, oncology, serves as the president of
Cancer Center Associates, and Rena Tarbet Cancer Center in
McKinney,Texas.
Dr. Khan received his MD degree from King Edward Medical College
Lahore Pakistan, and his Ph.D. from Baylor University, USA. He is a Fellow
of the American College of Physicians.
