Ismat Chugtai was an Intellectual genius, a writer of massive caliber, and her contribution in Urdu literature is priceless, she wrote on many great social and political issues of her time. Ismat through her pen surfaced many subject taboo's as well, for which she faced criticism very bravely and kept writing till the end..The collection of her short stories sparkle like brilliant gems in the crown of Urdu language. Ismat Chughtai's marvelous collection of short stories ' Guldan ' and her short novel ' Ziddi ' is a masterpiece. It is difficult for her readers to pay her the due homage and tribute, but we shall always keep reading her most exceptional and inspiring works..
